Hullabaloo in the Park is the North-East's only dedicated children's festival, hosted by Theatre Hullabaloo in South Park, Darlington.
All staff receive training before the festival regarding protocols, during the weekend I work in a large team ensuring the festival runs smoothly. I welcome families, direct them towards attractions, run a craft station, help stage the event on the day and complete any task given to me.
This was my second time working as event staff with Hullabaloo in the Park.

I worked over 3 days to help install Hullaween. This involved hanging and setting up dressing pieces that were pre-made. I also created some sign posts for the event which were printed.

I designed this installation with Hullaballoo members of staff, and organised sourcing materials. I had to consider my audience while designing this installation for Hullaballoo who cater to children from 0-10 years of age.
Head of Art Department
I used no-nails to sink decorative marble tiles into the outdoor archway, as well as painting the archway into a wood forest effect. I helped paint the backdrop for the archway as well. I created the graphics of the hullabaloo crest, crown, and banner seen on the throne, which were then printed onto a fabric cover.

I worked in a pair to complete this installation, securing the outdoor wooden archway, hanging bunting. I wrapped fabric around an existing column to create a beanstalk. and hung clouds from the ceiling using fishing wire. I used a staple gun to secure the bamboo straw to the reading area, and sewed non-slip fabric onto the seat cushion, to make the space after for use.
